Lawn Aeration Service

Here at Solstice Landscapes we use a form of aeration called core aeration.

What is Core Aeration?

Core Aeration is the process of mechanically removing cores of hardened soil, thatch, and grass from a lawn.  These holes make it possible for air, water, and nutrients to reach the turfgrass roots.  After core aeration, the roots will spread out and grow more robustly.  This will transform your lawn into a blanket of lush, green grass. Many homeowners aerate their lawn at least once in the Fall as routine maintenance.

Signs That Your Lawn Needs to be Aerated

✔ Puddling water – If you notice water sitting on your lawn after rain or irrigation, it’s a sign that the soil is compacted and not allowing proper drainage. This often means your lawn would benefit from aeration to help water, air, and nutrients reach the roots.

✔ Discolored or dry grass – Grass that looks yellow, thin, or dries out quickly (even with regular watering) can indicate stress caused by poor airflow to the roots or mowing that’s overdue. Regular mowing and aeration help restore healthy color and promote stronger growth.
